We intentionally ship softer fruits like stonefruit, avocados, and tomatoes on the firmer side to make sure that they arrive at your house safe and sound. Shipping really ripe items can make for a big mess if they happen to run into a hard sweet potato on the road to you!
But not to worry, there are a few ways you can ripen these items. If you aren't in a rush, you can leave them on the counter for a few days. If you are in more of a hurry, you can put them in a paper bag and fold the top over. If you'd like to speed the process up even more (and have a banana or an apple handy) you can add the apple or banana into the bag to speed things along. Once you notice the fruit is to your desired ripeness, you can then slow the ripening process by putting it in the refrigerator.
